Out of 54 Teams the Railers Finished 3rd in the qualifying matches. Then in the tournament they placed 1st winning the 2010 OKC regional. Additionally the team was recognized in the field of engineering winning the EXCELLENCE IN ENGINEERING AWARD for 2010! Great Job TEAM #935!
To date 85 seniors have fulfilled all requirements to be released from Seminar. Those Seniors who requested early release from Seminar but have not met all requirements have been spoken to or will be spoken to today. Seniors your seminar teacher knows if you have requested and qualified for dismissal from Seminar at the present time because your name will no longer appear on their Seminar roster. Seniors who have not yet qualified for early dismissal but want to keep working hard and keep in contact with Mrs. Simmonds.
Warm cookie bars will be sold at break this week for 50 cents!

As “Music In Our Schools Month” comes to a close, we celebrate with a jazz concert Monday, March 29, at 7:30 p.m. This program in the NHS Auditorium will feature Jazz Ensemble I and Jazz Ensemble II. Admission is $4 for adults and $3 for students. Come join us for an evening of great music!
Don’t like to cook? Does a juicy Wendy’s hamburger sound good? Then come to Wendy’s on Monday, March 29 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM and enjoy that hamburger while you help out Business Professionals of America. Wendy’s is donating 20% of all the sales to help BPA members attend the National Leadership Conference in May.
Students are reminded that executable games and programs used on USD 373 computers will earn a disciplinary referral, detention, and time away from computer privileges. If you have executables (.exe files), delete them. – Admin.
Picture packets for panoramic, individual picture and senior cap and gown will be handed out during 3rd period on Tuesday, March 30. Date for spring picture day is set for Tuesday, April 6. (Please come down to the office on if you need another packet.) STUDENTS THAT WISH TO PURCHASE PICTURES MUST HAVE THE MONEY AND PACKET ON PICTURE DAY. NO LATE ORDERS WILL BE TAKEN!!! THERE WILL NOT BE A MAKE UP DAY!!
Please make sure when you are filling out the packet for the panoramic picture that you write in the grade you are in—example– 9-10-11 or 12. (if you do not put down a grade you will receive the wrong class picture)
Seniors that do not have a 3rd period or have OJT—please come pick up a packet down in the main office. You will need a panoramic and cap/gown packet.
Attention Seniors: For Cap and Gown Pictures, you will not need to wear your Cap, just your gown. Female students will need to pin or tape their collars to their gown before pictures are taken. It would probably be best to leave your cap and tassel in your car or locker so you don’t risk losing them. Freshmen, Sophomore and Junior pictures will be taken from 8-9:45am. Seniors pictures will start @10am)
If you are tardy any this week, you will need to serve your tardy by Thursday, April 1st since there is no school on Friday April 2nd. Please plan ahead!
Seniors: Local scholarship applications are available from Mrs. Shirley in the guidance office. April 1st is the deadline so don’t delay!

NEED OR WANT COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS: High School students willing to provide child care at Kid Fest on Saturday, April 10, between 10:45 a.m. – 12:45 p.m., at Sunset School, please contact Mrs. Whitfield for more information.
On April 1, NHS will be hosting the Harvey County Career Development Fair in the Willis Gymnasium. NHS sophomore and senior students will visit the Career Fair through their Social Studies classes. All classes, (1-7), will be meeting that day for approximately 50 minutes. Please review the lunch shift schedule. A few class’s lunch shift will change to accommodate the Social Studies classes who will take first lunch.
