Lauren Duerksen is a junior at Newton High. She feels blessed to be an upperclassman, and she is very glad that she will be graduating in a mere two years. Her future plans are as of yet undecided. She enjoys waking up whenever and drinking some coffee, maybe reading a book or surfing the web or looking at pictures. She likes music the general public probably would not be into and she is on Facebook too much. Duerksen isn’t exactly what one might call a people person but she does like to meet interesting folks every once in a while. She likes to hang out in her friend’s old pickup truck that won’t go over 40 MPH and doing vocal experiments with helium and such. Duerksen’s favorite place to shop is Urban Outfitters and she loves the town of Lawrence, Kansas. She would like to live in New York City one day.
